Oak Pergola Kit or Professional Installation?
Understand what an oak pergola kit includes, how to plan for assembly and when to choose the £500 installation option.
What is supplied in the oak kit?
The workshop-prepared kit includes the posts, beams, curved knee braces, rafters, oak pegs and stainless-steel fixings for securing the rafters. Components are cut and labelled, with a component schedule and fixing guidance. Optional staddle stones are selected separately.
A prepared kit removes the need to cut the main joints on site, but assembly still involves heavy timber components. Check the component schedule, access route and lifting arrangements before choosing self-assembly.
When self-assembly makes sense
Supply-only can suit a competent customer working with suitable help or a tradesperson who can plan the assembly. The ground preparation, tools and lifting equipment must suit the particular frame.
Do not judge lifting requirements from the footprint alone. Confirm component weights and the assembly method with us before delivery. This guide is a buying comparison, not a substitute for the frame-specific assembly instructions.
Our professional installation option
Professional pergola installation can be added for a fixed £500. Select supply and installation in the configurator to include it in your guide total.
Suitable foundations and access must be ready as agreed. Groundworks are separate, and we confirm the final specification and arrangements before payment. Send photographs if access is narrow, the garden is stepped or the existing surface needs preparation.
Delivery and what happens next
Delivery across mainland England and Wales is free within a 100-mile radius of Waterhouses and £250 including VAT beyond. One delivery charge per order for pergolas and oak log stores. Distances are measured in a straight line. The postcode checker gives an estimate; the delivery address is checked at checkout. Staddle-stone charges depend on your post section, stone finish and the number required.
Once you have chosen a configuration, review the dimensions, optional extras and delivery charge. We confirm the final specification and lead time with the order. Oak log stores use the same delivery rates, with one delivery charge per order. Professional log-store assembly is included.
